Marchmont & Peveril Securities submit major town centre BTR scheme

March 2023

Marchmont Development Management and Peveril Securities are delighted to announce that a planning application has been submitted to Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole Council for a flagship 474 Build to Rent scheme in central Bournemouth.

The scheme, to be known as Oxford Gardens, will deliver 474 new high quality BTR units and amenity floorspace in two blocks up to 28 floors, as well as an extensive public realm improvement. Sustainability and residents’ health and well-being have been at the heart of the design evolution.

Nick Hornby, Development Director at Marchmont said “Bournemouth is an exciting and vibrant town but suffers from a lack of suitable, affordable and well-designed residential schemes close to the town centre. Oxford Gardens will fill a gap in the Bournemouth rental market by providing a high quality, sustainable and professionally managed building. We look forward to securing planning consent and delivering a successful scheme for Bournemouth.”

Many thanks to the project team for all your efforts including Jo Cowen Architects, Quartz Project Services, HGH Consulting, Hoare Lea, Elliott Wood Partnership Ltd, Cascade and Point 2.
